Cargo Noir with Bobby and Mary
We had some friends over for dinner and board games on Sunday. We played Cargo Noir and Ticket to Ride. Good times!

Ikusa
We broke out Ikusa for a run-through tonight. The rules are indistinguishable from It's predecessor Samurai Swords. I just noticed no play time is listed on the box...

Smurfs?
I found a Smurfs game being played late at night on Saturday. I'm not sure if it is an RPG or some kind of minis game. Either way, someone desperately deserves an open-handed slap to the face.
???
I have no clue who these people are trying to impersonate. The guy in back is lugging a huge cardboard cross.
Super Robo Rally
There was a very impressive scratch built Roborally game that employed real robots on a large board in the floor.
Giant Lords Of Vegas
I only scheduled one game for Sunday. This is a custom board and cards that are 3 times normal size.

Axis & Allies 1940
Today is primarily devoted to playing a huge game of Axis & Allies Global 1940 using the rules tweaks instituted by Larry Harris for the forthcoming reprint.
I'm playing the U.S.S.R. It's going to be a long haul...

Fortune and Glory
This new game from Flying Frog has some top notch components and a can't miss theme. The little plastic zeppelins in the box nearly sold it to me on the spot. The only reason I don't own it is that I would never be able to get it home in my suitcase.
Steve Long and I
Steve is the primary author of the HERO system rules. I picked up the new Star Hero book at his booth.

Two sessions cancelled!
After my first game this morning, the next two sessions were cancelled due to inadequate attendance. Now, I'm reduced to prowling the game room hoping for a no-show. Bill Preston, esquire said it best,"B-O-G-U-S!"

Conan 1982
Each year, the theater adjacent to the convention center shows a classic movie specifically for the Gencon audience. This year, it's Conan the Barbarian (1982).
I'm looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.
Aaahnold in his prime...
Drizzt and I
This statue occupies a prime spot at the top of the stair from the ballroom at the convention center. Last year, a Red Dragon perched in this spot.
Lunch at the Ram
We have arrived in Indy! Now for the traditional lunch at the Ram.
Also, I got carded when I ordered a beer! What a great start to the weekend!

New Game Store
I found this place in Shawnee off 87th across from Zarda. They have a small selection of board games, but thus us mostly a Magic shop.
