Warhammer 40k - Off the Rails
It's been months since I posted anything about Warhammer 40,000 on this blog, and it may be a long time until I do.
In the last six months, Games workshop has released a barrage of poorly considered, inadequately play-tested, and overall amateurish products. The impact of these rules changes has been immensely detrimental to the game as a whole, as demonstrated through the hemorrhage of players in my area.
Frankly, I'm fed up. I haven't played the game since the Bugeater GT last year and I have no plans to do so any time soon. The game just isn't fun anymore unless the players specifically go out of their way to develop a game that avoids the pitfalls that the ruleset is presently riddled with.
Although I don't intend to part with my orks anytime soon, I'll be using alternate rules if they see the table.
